the idea of a new classicism is at the focus of the concept.

out of understatement and not overstatement, a new vision of classicist luxury has been created. during the planning process, the historical quotations and associations are experiencing a change, along with a sharp reduction to almost sketchy shapes.

the two-level room has been gutted and cleared down to its fundamental structure. thanks to extensive static measures and the installation of state-of-the-art technical equipment, a very precisely and thoroughly planned sequence of rooms is being created, which fullfils all functional requirements and serves as an ideal basis for further steps of design.

the range of colours has been uncompromisingly reduced to black and white. only a few added pieces of high-value vintage furniture and presentation areas gleam in bright yellow, breaking up the seriousness of the composition with gentle irony.

the line is becoming the most important element of design, with individual lines, their sequences and aggregations shaping the room structure as well as all functional or decorative room elements in a highly geometric fashion. the application of materials and surfaces creates contrasts and tension in the room. free-standing presentation tables and vitrines made from polished stainless steel, glass and mirror – having been reduced to a minimum in terms of shape and construction dimensions – glitter in front of an absolutely matt background.

strongly attached to its vienna location, but at the same time completely detached from all stereotypes, amicis is the best example for the new international style.

nostalgia and phantasy are the future.
