butterfly effect
the future vision of luxury, inspired by the fragile beauty of a butterfly.
the design is characterised by a shift of the boundaries between architecture and fashion, as well as a brave investigation of the possibilities of feasibility.
hardness and tenderness, strength and fragility are reflected in every single room element. glittering, polished steel frame skeletons shape the basic structure of the room and at the same time serve as carriers of all goods presentation objects, the latter offering a strong, exciting contrast thanks to their delicate, silky surfaces.
the play with transparency and semi-transparency, with glitter and reflection, with softness and hardness creates a special dynamic effect in the room.
extravagant details and materials, such as a butterfly-shaped artistic stucco on the façade, pleated sunblinds, delicate lace, pleated satin silk, as well as iridescent murano glass take the onlooker by surprise, rounding the composition out.
a new experimental approach has consistently been pursued in dealing with and using materials. in a complicated procedure, custom-made couture lace has been pressed between large-format glass plates, which serve as the design elements of the semi-transparent room dividers. all floating presentation boxes have been coated with smooth and pleated silk and completed with gleaming metal frames and cleverly incorporated led light strips. a “one of a kind” carpet specially designed for the project has been laid as a single, large-format watercolour painting over both floors.
the subtle range of colours, which is based on different nuances of nude – from light beige to soft pink to intensive apricot – dominates the room atmosphere. the pieces of furniture added to the room are in soft hues of the pastel colour range, emphasising the picture of a dreamy, bright and light world.
by reaching the limits of the possibilities of design, every single object has been designed meticulously down to the minutest detail so as to create a unique and unrepeatable product, a new “haute couture architecture”.
