this concept is dominated by a mannerist reduction to the essentials.

the large-sized, almost over-dimensional glass portal has been strictly reduced in terms of design. the boundary between the shop interior and the street disappears, while the shop opens itself up entirely towards the outside and actively participates in shaping the street scene with its complete interior.

the broad range of products, reaching from the simple baguette to the most sophisticated patisserie products, has been translated into the interior design in an associative manner. what has resulted is a logical synthesis of products and merchandise carriers, which shape the room character not individually but only in combination with each other.

a few simple and very familiar materials provide the basis for the design. just like the ingredients of a tasty marmalade recipe, these materials are processed only with a lot of care; the surfaces remain natural and untreated looking, just like a rough wall plaster or like polished wood slats.

the presentation furniture and merchandise carriers have been planned with high precision both in terms of functionality and design. every irregularity and inaccuracy results from an exact planning process, in which the apparently faulty, accidentally resulting solutions and subtle technical details get mixed up and supplement each other in a balanced way.

the design resulting therefrom emerges – thanks to its intended “self-made” effect – from the focus of the main reflection, thereby becoming a natural component of the room design.
